Nokia N900. The Internet Mobile

If you are still playing around with your N800 or N810 internet tablet you should hear this. Nokia might launch a new version soon. The next generation tablet might be the N900 and it is said to have 3G connectivity, OMAP3 processors from T1 and high definition cameras with photo sharing. A new OS version is also coming soon.

The N900 hasn’t been officially announced and people say Nokia is going to relaunch its tablets and thus it will rename them

Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 – Release the end of this september

We would have been a bit more skeptical about this latest piece of news on the Xperia front, had it not come straight from the Japanese-Swedish mobile manufacturer. Contrary to all the rumors being thrown around about Sony Ericsson’s new flagship multimedia device, the Xperia X1 is on track for a launch on September 30 with a gradual rollout in select markets in the fourth quaerter of 2008.

 

For now, if you are in London, head over to Tent London, Hall T4, as Sony Ericsson is showcasing the Xperia X1 to get a firsthand experience of its big VGA touchscreen display, that hidden arc-sliding QWERTY keypad, and everything else it has to offer!

HTC Dream at $199

We haven’t even gotten an official announcement from T-Mobile regarding the HTC Dream but details continue to leak out. This time, given to us by the Wall Street Journal, it was revealed that the Andrioid touting HTC Dream will retail for a modest $199, with a contract.

What other phone can you think of that retails for $199? Oh I haven’t a clue.

iPhone 2.1 Software Update

Here she is, Apple has officially unleashed the iPhone 2.1 software, promising to fix all of those annoying bugs plaguing previous version.

The most important of the fixes listed above would have to be improved battery life for “most users”, decreased dropped calls, and the improved 3G signal display. Other than that, the update includes various bug fixes that caused iPhones running the earlier versions to crash. Let’s hope this really works.
