I can’t really imagine the hassle and the amount of effort needed to make a home movie before digital. With the current crop of newest camcorder, making your own movies is easier than ever. The choice is pretty much endless, even if you don’t have a big budget. You can choose from MiniDV, memory card-based, and hard drive based camcorder. You can also choose the designs, the colors, and the specifications, which are mind-boggling really.

Unfortunately, this kind of luxury leads to one problem. How can we choose the right camcorder for us? Sure, it’s not as complicated as choosing our spouse, but it’s getting close. To avoid that kind of complication, we can seek the advice of fellow users’ review from the site such as Expo TV. It’s not a dedicated camcorder review site, but think of it like YouTube for gadget reviews. You can even earn money by doing video reviews, but I’m not going to talk about it.

In the site, I found a product that I’ve never seen before; The Flip Video. From the design, it’s pretty neat and small. I couldn’t find it here in Malaysia, but since it’s pretty cheap, I think it will fit well into those who have very limited budget.
